Katherine Moscarino is an Associate at Moscarino & Treu, concentrating her practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense and business litigation, and is emphasizing developing her practice in the other various litigation matters that the firm serves.
Raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio and a graduate of Hathaway Brown High School, Katherine obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond cum laude in 2009, with a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric & Communication Studies; Leadership Studies; Law & the Liberal Arts. She then earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2012. While at Case Law, she interned with the United States Department of Justice in multiple capacities and for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Ohio. After law school, Katie briefly clerked for Moscarino & Treu before joining another Cleveland firm, McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman, upon passing the Bar. Katherine joined Moscarino & Treu in full capacity in August, 2016 as an Associate and has been most proud of the fact that the firm aggressively serves the needs of each client with integrity, efficiency, and ingenuity.
Going forward, Katherine is most excited about developing and applying her legal knowledge to real world practice both in and out of the office, and about seeing the benefits of that experience. She has extensive trial experience having sat second chair for more than eight trials, has successfully litigated and counseled clients in county, federal and appellate courts, and her current defense-oriented practice is enhanced by prior experience on the other side of such matters. This provides her with a unique perspective, used to anticipate issues strategies on the other side, to best serve her clients’ interests.
Katherine is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio, with Admission to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She is also an active member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. She holds a position on the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Litigation Counsel. Katherine is also a member of the Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Young Leaders Board. As a Cleveland native, Katherine is passionate about exploring what the revitalized city has to offer as it continues to develop.
