Mary White joined Moscarino & Treu as an attorney in 2003. She currently practices in the area of medical malpractice litigation, with a focus on catastrophic birth injury cases. Mary’s legal practice is strengthened by her 20+ years of experience as a registered nurse.
She began her nursing career after graduating from the St. Vincent Charity Hospital School of Nursing in 1981. While practicing as a registered nurse, Mary gained experience in medical, cardiac, and surgical intensive care and in hemodialysis. She was certified in critical care nursing and has extensive experience as a nurse manager, as well as in labor negotiations. Mary’s wealth of experience in the fast-paced, mission-critical world of healthcare has taught her how to motivate team members to move forward with important tasks and to never procrastinate.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Mary received her B.S.N. from Bowling Green State University in 1990 and her J.D. from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 2002. Since joining the firm, she has learned and then exhibited that attention to detail, preparedness and willingness to explore all aspects of a case will result in successful representation of clients. Mary, based on her respect and admiration for physicians and nurses that she had the privilege to work with over her years of nursing, is passionate about defending individuals who provide healthcare services. She finds it rewarding to volunteer at St. Colman Neighborhood Meals events, as well as with the St. Ignatius High School Loyola Society and Arrupe Neighborhood Partnership events. Outside of doing legal work, Mary enjoys time with her family and keeping up with American politics.
“The measure of a successful legal team, and the key to an enjoyable career, is the team’s ability to be confident in garnering each member’s knowledge and experiences in order to put forth the best possible defense for a client, rather than to obtain individual personal gain.”
